How to play Fox & Hounds

Pink is the fox and goes first from the bottom-left dark square. The four blue hounds start along the top. Move one piece one diagonal square into an empty dark square each turn.

The fox can move forward or backward; hounds only move downward. No jumping or capturing. The fox wins by reaching the top, getting above all hounds, or leaving the hounds unable to move. Hounds win by blocking all fox moves.
